The WiFi module enables easy connection to a local wireless network. With this module the transmitter firmware can be updated directly via the internet, without the need for a cable connection to a PC. After connecting to a home or other available WiFi network the latest software versions can be downloaded and installed, bringing new features, fixes, and improvements to the JETI Duplex system. The device is designed for simple configuration and safe operation, allowing the user to quickly and reliably keep the transmitter up to date.
Transmitter Update via Wi-Fi Network
Wireless SW updates are available for JETI DC/DS-24 II transmitters. To activate the Wi-Fi module in the transmitter, please install SW version 6.04.2134 (or newer). You can check your transmitter’s SW version in “Menu/System/Info”.

Wireless Update Procedure:
- Switch on the transmitter and in “Menu/System/Wi-Fi Update” connect to a home or public Wi-Fi network with internet access.
- Select the option “Selected Network …”. In this menu, the transmitter automatically scans for Wi-Fi networks and displays the list as “Available Networks”. Choose a network from the list and select it. You will then be prompted to enter the access password for the Wi-Fi network. After entering the password the transmitter save this network and will automatically reconnect next time. Confirm with the OK button (F5).
- Select “Search for Updates”. The transmitter connects to the internet and checks the JETI server for any available update. If an update is available, it‘s version number will be displayed.
- If a new update is detected, select “Install Update”. The new version will immediately start downloading to the transmitter, which may take a few minutes depending on internet speed. The download progress, including speed and file size, is displayed on-screen. Once the download is complete the transmitter automatically proceeds to step 2/2 — “extracting” the downloaded file.
- After downloading and extracting the update, you can immediately “Restart the transmitter”. A confirmation screen will appear with the message “Switch off and update Tx?”. Confirm with the OK button (F5). Upon the next power-up, the downloaded and extracted update will be installed automatically.
